Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a fatwa forbidding the production, stockpiling and use of nuclear weapons on August 9, 2005. The full text of the fatwa was released in an official statement at the meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.[/quote]
Wonder why they felt the need to state that in an IAEA meeting ...

I'm afraid that I don't trust the words any senior politician, and I most certainly do not trust the senior leaders of Iran. The Iranians have enough sense to realise that such statement is just what the international community wanted to hear; they are in no way bound to stand by it. Besides, that was 2005, and we are in 2007.
Therefore, I stand by what I said:
"So you can drawn one conclusion - yes they either have, nearly have or are trying to have, nuclear weapons. If they can proof completely that they are nt, maybe I'd think again."
I take back two words -
proof to be replaced with
prove and
nt to be replaced with
not. I was in a rush!!
Someone said somewhere on here that Iran has no need of nuclear power for generating energy, since they have more than enough oil (very well said, whoever it was!). But what country in the world will refuse nuclear secrets, will refuse weaponry that its enemies possess? They're not that foolish!

Above all, I would teach him to tell the truth ... Truth-telling, I have found, is the key to responsible citizenship. The thousands of criminals I have seen in 40 years of law enforcement have had one thing in common: Every single one was a liar. [JE Hoover]
