My thoughts on Obama:

Yes, yes, he is the first black president. Hillary Clinton was also almost the first female president. What America should have had was a black female president!

He shut down Guantanamo Bay - a good move. Fewer human beings being tortured by the American Government.

Promises to get out of Iraq - also good. The bad part is, not immediately. The war was clearly illegal, misadvised and a meaningless massacre of innocent civilians.

Will not get out of Afghanistan - bad. He continues an imperialist war that is based on the words of a mass-murdering maniac (GWB) and continues to fight a war against Osama Bin Laden for a crime he didn't commit and in a country that America has no right to be in.

Baling out the corporations - bad. He should be trying to help the people during this difficult time, not delivering new truckloads of cash to the capitalists, who failed in the first place.

Is a capitalist - continues to allow the exploitation of the ordinary workers of the United States.

Will not prosecute George Bush for war-crimes - bad. George Bush was a mass-murdering megalomaniac. He killed literally millions of people every year he was in Iraq and several million in the first few years. A considerable majority of these were Iraqi civilians murdered in their homes by American warplanes bombing civilian targets. Also, millions killed in Afghanistan - many innocent civilian non-combatants and those that were combatants were defending their homeland from the Imperialist aggressors, as were Iraqi combatants.

Reinstating Bush economists - the capitalists that failed the American people in having caused the entire problem have been reinstated as economic advisers to Barack Obama. This clearly shows that there will be no "change", economically.

I've probably missed out a good few issues, haven't i? Well, if you're not bored of reading my long posts already, just ask me about them and i'll tell you whether i think they're good or bad. Get the socialist viewpoint.

Osama Bin Laden took credit for it. So as far as I am concerned he did it.

"Will not prosecute George Bush for war-crimes - bad" If you want to see the US come apart at the seems let him try it. It will never happen and should never happen. He is not qualified to judge George Bush in any way. And if he did you can bet when he leaves office (and he will" he would get the same.

You know some of this stuff you said here is like pissing on our feet.

He didn't take credit for it. He denied it. Only George Bush blamed him and even the FBI admit he probably didn't.

Why not? George Bush had more people killed than did Adolf Hitler. How can you say that a criminal beyond Goebbels' most twisted fantasies should not be punished for his crimes? Because he's American? Morality in the US is clearly dangerously close to non-existant if what you say is true.

He should - if he can keep his hands clean of innocent blood, his own trial won't be necessary. It might even be an incentive for Obama to grow a conscience.

Why? Explain. They are completely valid points.

What you seem to not understand is 9/11 is a very personal thing to most Americans. What you said (I do not agree) is like when people say the "holocaust" never happened to Jews. The things you believe is like someone slapping my mother and thinking I will thank them for it.

Also Bush was not the best president, but he was much better than the pretender in the office today.

I am really not up to arguing about something neither of us will ever change our thinking on. So I am out of here.

That's an overreaction if i ever heard one.

I am not saying 9/11 did not happen

I am not saying the holocaust did not happen

I am pointing out that there is no evidence that Osama Bin Laden orchestrated it. He denies it. The FBI says it is highly unlikely. All of the Afghan invasion and Osama Bin Laden's blame rests upon one person. George Walker Bush.

I am not expecting a thanks, i might even have subconsciously expected a reprisal for saying an American was wrong/lied. The reason i said this was because i believe in the truth and i think the truth should be shared. Has freedom of speech been so highly curtailed that the truth is illegal?

I think that Barack Obama is just about the same as many people are. Flawed. Everyone is flawed. Some people are flawed for underestimating other people (or indeed, the Establishment), some are flawed because they're too greedy. But the reason i prefer Barack to Georgie Porgie is that Obama does not have a number of deaths on his conscience that Himmler would gape at. At least, not yet.

Hi I am Carry Thomas and my view is as under.
There are many competent politicians in USA... but I don't think Barack is one of them. I don't feel like Barack is having any personal or professional quality in him that makes me admire him. He will be a true descendant of the Neo Nazi Bill Clinton who massacred 12,000 Serbian civilians in 1999. I fear him even more since he is incompetent. Iraq, Afghanistan, Serbia.... what next? Russia? Only in your dreams Barack.

polls are not needed, they are a waste of time and a poll is just something that government bodies use just to use tax payers money :fi_lone_ranger:
