I am disturbed.
George Bush is not what you'd call one of the more intellectual presidents of the US, such as Abraham Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin. He is quite frankly, a little dim. So, i wouldn't trust his intelligence.
Perhaps you think he is honest? But no, i'm sure you don't. After all, we can all spell F-L-O-R-I-D-A...
As for terrorism. What can i say? One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
In 1999, 233 people died in terrorist attacks. Worldwide. Incidentally, over 10'000 died of lightning strikes that same year.
I'm also afraid you may have bought into GWB's lie that 9/11 was a terrorist attack. It was - only not by Osama, but more probably by the US Government.
That was done in order to be able to bring in the Counter Terrorism Act, which severely restricted civil liberties.

I'd like to take back the huge conspiracy theory thing. I don't think it was the US government any more. The thing leaks like a sieve - we'd have heard something of it by now!
I should point out that not only was the Iraq war illegal, it also achieved nothing against what you'd call terrorism. Saddam Hussein was, by most peoples' standards, a bad man. But there was no proof of WMDs - actually, there was a considerable volume to the contrary.

RE: Iraq and 9/11
Media does whatever they want. Before the NATO bombing of Serbia they were alleging that 400,000 Muslim "Civillians" were killed by the Serbs. What happened in the end? The final figure was 400 dead Muslim Civillians and 5,000 dead KLA terrorists (A great number of whom mercenaries from Lebanon, Egypt, Aghanistan and KSA).
Like this they spread the lie that Saddam Hussein was having WMD. Like some American general said after the war... The only WMD Saddam was having was his bad breath!!!
